"At the interview, I knew it was the right place for me. I found my home."
Giselle Gaines was a stay-at-home mom taking care of 5 children, 4 with autism, when she decided she wanted to do more, impact her community, and create a better world for her children. She started volunteering at various local organizations and advocating for her children and others with special needs in their schools.
Not longer after, Giselle’s former supervisor (a team member at Sevita), was looking for a problem-solver with a passion for helping everyone to live well. She immediately thought of Giselle, who was a great fit for the role.
As a Community Development Manager for our Sevita Connected Care program, “A typical day involves business development – reaching out to various providers such as social workers, doctors, physical therapists, pharmacists – meeting one-on-one and explaining our services and how home and community-based care can support growth and independence for their patients.”
“I love what I do. It doesn’t feel like work, it’s a lifestyle. I followed what I love – influencing and helping others to live a better life.”
