Diversity and Inclusion at Sevita

Diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging (DEIB) can be complex topics to tackle. At Sevita our approach to DEIB reflects and reinforces our commitment to creating workplaces where people from all backgrounds and experiences feel that they are able to thrive.  

Inclusion Council and Committees

Our Inclusion Council
Made up of leaders from across Sevita, the council sets our direction and leads our charge in support of our diversity, equity and belonging goals.

Our Inclusion Committees
Voluntary groups of employees from across our service lines/business areas represent and engage with Sevita employees at the state, regional and local levels. Committees organize events and speakers, coordinate learning and volunteer opportunities, share information about local and state-wide diversity and inclusion efforts, and facilitate discussion about topics of interest to the employees in that area. 

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

Sevita's Emloyee Resource Groups (ERGs) are made up of employee volunteers who come together in support of a shared interest, identify or experience. 

Some of our ERGs include:
  • LGBTQIA+
  • DEIB Book Club 
  • Veterans, Miliary and Families
  • The Black Experience
  • Therapist Mentoring and Support. 

Learning Library

Our virtual Inclusion Learning Library is available for all employees to explore. Resources include topics such as "Diversity and Disability", "How Culture Impacts Communication", "DEIB for Healthcare Employees", and "An Introduction to Multicultural Care" among others.
